An old favourite, retrieved from the archives. Taken 2 years ago, I was returning with my friend Howie from an early morning photo trip when we spotted some grizzlies along the side of the road. They were feasting on dandelions, one of their favourites until the buffalo berries ripen. I got a number of good shots, but initially I overlooked this one because it offered no view of the bear’s face.
Weeks later, I was going back over these pictures and realized that this one had greater appeal than I had thought. It was a hit with Rolande (a good clue) and has earned a place on the wall in our Canmore house.
Love this one–hadn’t seen it before, but it is indeed a keeper!
A great picture Peter
