I noticed some particularly interesting cloud patterns this afternoon, so I went out for a walk around the neighbourhood, camera in hand. I found a number of interesting picture choices and I’m posting a few of them today.
Taken near the entrance to our neighbourhood. I chose this photo because I like the light filtering through the trees and the long shadows. Sky is pretty neat too!
These trees shade the roadway into our development. The pond on the left is a water hazard belonging to the Starfire Golf Course, which runs through our neighbourhood.
The reason I came out. The afternoon cloud patterns were very picture worthy.
Some more cloud patterns, highlighted by the setting sun. Many photographers don’t like contrails in the sky and won’t photograph them. Not natural! I think they’re quite okay and with all the air traffic in the area they’re difficult to avoid anyway.
Nice photos, Peter. I especially like the first and last, though the third one makes me want to hop a plane right back down there!
Peter – these pictures looked so inviting. Are you sure you want to come back?
