Today I returned to the Lost Dutchman State Park, the site of two earlier posts, determined to be there when the wildflowers bloom. The gate attendant advised that they are now at their peak, so no further encouragement was required. I didn’t exactly find what I was seeking, but the park is very beautiful and the colours are magnificent. I hiked about a mile from the parking lot to the top of the trail ascending Superstition Mountain. My objective was Green Boulder, the end of the trail on the side of the mountain. It’s a pleasant climb of about 500 ft. elevation change It took me quite awhile to get up there since I took a lot of photos along the way. Following is a slideshow of some of my favourites from today. Hope you will enjoy.
