Some close-ups taken in the garden. Presented as a slideshow. All taken with a 24-70mm standard lens with a 21mm extension tube attached. I used the maximum focal length available for this lens, f22 to maximize the depth-of-field. Most were taken with a focal length of 70mm and in the case of the very small flowers, I had to move the camera in very close, 1-2 inches (2.5-5.0 cm). I used a tripod to stabilize the camera, since any movement whatsoever blurs the image with this level of magnification and the slow shutter speeds I was using (not much light when you’re in so close). In some cases, I was unable to get a sharp picture due to a slight breeze that moved the smaller flowers enough to make it impossible to photograph them. Following are the ones I was able to get.
What a beautiful Easter bouquet.
Thanks Peter
