One of my recent trips to K-Country took me to the Upper Kananaskis Lake where I photographed this small, but beautiful waterfall, where Sarrail Creek emerges from the forest.
I took a number of shots but found this one to be the most appealing, at least to my eye. It features the “streamed” look, designed to convey a sense of motion. I just like the look.
Of course, you get this look by keeping the camera’s shutter open longer, in the case .25 sec. I used a 17-4omm, wide angle lens with a focal length of 24 mm to capture the full breadth of the falls. It was a little shady in this area, so I had no difficulty in achieving a slow shutter with an aperture setting of f8.0 and ISO at 160.
