When I awoke this morning, the outlook wasn’t very promising. Dull, dark and overcast. Moving to another part of the house and different windows, I saw quite a different scene. As I rolled up the blinds, I was greeted with a striking light show on the mountains behind our house. I’m almost never surprised by what I see here, but this morning’s light was in the “new and unusual” category. For a short period, there was a gap in the heavy cloud cover that allowed light to get through and onto these peaks. The light was quite intense in colour and nicely complemented by the soft cloud surrounding it.
Turning to my left, I got another shot, this one featuring the Ship’s Prow. It looks almost volcanic! Fortunately, no fire and brimstone, just a striking view that I was fortunate to capture.
I got a few more shots, but I think this is enough. I’ m sure you get the picture.
Beautiful!
Breath taking, Peter…..I love early mornings….you photographed another reason why.
Thanks
Helen
